Nextstep is the annual career fair at Jönköping University. It has been arranged for students, by students since 1994. Where local, national, and international companies exhibit during the day, with the purpose to present their business and attract ambitious students at the university. During the career fair, interesting meetings will be combined with exciting guest lectures, workshops, and contact calls. Nextstep helps students take the next step in their career.
During the year of Nextstep, multiple social events are hosted, all in the purpose of bringing students closer, creating awareness of career choices, and having a great time. Nextstep also includes a unique opportunity for students to network with potential employers and find leads to future career opportunities. Nextstep is the bridge between students and companies. This is where both parties have the opportunity to interact with each other, establish relationships, work on their network, and hopefully finding connections. This could potentially lead to future job opportunities, trainee programs, internships, or part-time jobs during studies. The combination of ambitious and international students and companies, makes Nextstep a unique, prominent career fair and an excellent opportunity to meet your future co-workers.
During their studies at JU, all students have an opportunity to participate and plan the fair together with other students. Being a part of organizing projects like Nextstep students gain important learning experiences and exercise skills which are highly appreciated by future employers.
